About this listen

Sold to the Sheikh is an emotional, erotic romance about finding a way to move on after heartbreak and love again. It contains mature themes and content perfect for fans of the Crossfire series and Fifty Shades of Grey and at least one thing you should *not* try at home without a whole lot of practice first....

Stella Spencer is grateful for any job she can get after her divorce, even if it's at her friend's exclusive club. And Club Volare proves the perfect place to hide while she mends a shattered heart - until she interrupts an auction scene, and the powerful Sheikh Bashir al Aziz bin Said decides that Stella is the woman that he wants.

At Club Volare for one last wild weekend before his family requires him to settle down, Sheikh Bashir doesn't expect to find a woman he can trust or a woman who challenges him. But Stella Spencer is a challenge, all right: both vulnerable and guarded, beautiful and insecure, and a closet submissive. But she's hiding something. Stella is afraid to open her heart to love again after the way she's been hurt, but Sheikh Bashir wants to be the Dom to show her who she truly is - and Sheikh Bashir always gets what he wants.

Well written, good plot, and steamy Dom segments and some actual character development made this a very good read . It wasn't just smut there was some real life depth of feelings, emotions and intelligence; very nice

Red Hot!!!

This is an excellent book, the best BDSM I’ve listened to. Makes me want to try it myself. If it really “frees you” like they say, it’s worth a try I think.

Wow!

This book takes a hurting, normal sized woman and puts her in an exotic situation out of her control and comfort zone. Sheik Bashir is sexy and commanding. He seems to know everything Stella needs and wants and does his utmost to give them to her. Sexy, sweet, loving, and more.

Sexy and Loving

I gave up about half way through when they get to the brunch. I just don't understand, she works at this club, her fellow colleagues work there and also participate in the lifestyle, but for some reason, she's "mortified" at them seeing her?! That's like hiding in the bathroom so your colleagues won't see you eating at the restaurant you work at.

She's constantly mortified that her, yet she's gone to many public places and done many public things. Why? In reference to her colleagues, is she afraid that they will make the same judgements she's made against them? If so, that speaks more of her narrow-mindedness than anything, and why would I follow a character like that?

This character 'type' just utterly annoys me. They are always in their head, always embarrassed, always feeling humiliated, but they do it anyway. As soon as the story starts, she looses all agency about herself. It goes beyond the 'training' which apparently she's the best sub ever (because they always are!), because, story. It's frustrating hearing the same conversation go on in her head over and over no matter how great the narration is, and it's great.

Stella's redundancy bores me and I'd rather listen to something else.

Stella is maddening.
