Ryan Anderson has struggled with the Christmas season ever since his wife Samantha passed away. She may have died another time of the year, but he misses her influence each year he has to put up the Christmas tree alone. After two Christmases alone, he’s said no more to the cheer and excitement the city gives him.
Until a snowstorm forces him to turn around and abandon his plans – leaving him stranded in an Amish community with some decent jams.
When Amanda and Ryan discover that they share the same sentiments about the Christmas season just a year after Amanda lost her fiancé, she is hesitant to share anything with him. He is hesitant to enjoy anything this time of year because of the heavy hurt it reminds him of, and he had been so sure he had moved on too.
