For Snake Lovers and Haters Both

This book is a very enjoyable foray into the the world of snakes. While full of science and explanations, it reads quickly and is made easy to understand by the author. His exhaustive research is clearly evident and his quotes from leading herpetologists are interesting anecdotes throughout. His writing is clever and I found myself chuckling at some of the turns of phrase like "the mambo line of males". If you have any interest in snakes, or just want to read about them, I highly recommend this book for your library.
