Amazing!!
This book has been a huge hit. I read it in a paper form and wanted to hear my favorite characters come to life. David Dawson does a beautiful job of that and I can’t wait to listen to book 2.

FUN
What a great young adult read! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this as a pre-read for my 7 yr old. Age appropriate fantasy for her with just enough grit for her to enjoy, -she likes "scary" and I have a hard time finding a balance of scary and not too scary for a seven yr old. She'll love this. The writing was engaging and the narrator did very well with it too. I would definitely recommend this book.

Brilliant concept!
1st off - unicorns being fierce rather than frilly - amazing! 2nd - the narrator is perfect for this book! He does a great job of sounding youthful but still soothing. So many narrators who read young characters have a whiny voice or high pitched. This was perfect! 3rd - the story is brilliant! A fun original idea that kept me entertained the whole time!

Son's favorite book
This is my son's most favorite book. He loves it so much he wanted to share it with me. We have loved listening every day on our way to school and can't wait for book 2 to come out. We appreciate this different take on unicorns. Also great character development - bullying, friendship, family issues. excellent plot twists.

Brilliant performance and story
A lovely twist on our favorite mythical creature, the unicorn, no longer a fanciful kindly horse, but not more akin to a frightening dragon, this entry to the Skandar series is an excellent beginning to a brilliant alternate universe.

Skandar and the Unicorn their might be the best book I’ve ever read!
Usually I enjoy the books I find on audible but this book wasn’t just enjoyed it was an amazing, thrill seeking, and hard to compare.
It’s hard to recommend anything to a book that is full of such adventures and possibilities but there is something to keep in mind while writing: Try not to change the characters the fit the books change the books to fit the characters so that people can connect with the characters.
(Although it’s fine to let them evolve.)
I made this review because I just wanted to express how much I love this book and how well the author made it.
