Silent Squall

Dipsi had a simple life, growing up knowing little beyond the sea and her small town. Raised in a fishing town by an Irish fisherman and a lively Island woman, family and friends were more important to Dipsi than anything else. Being the youngest, and only girl, brought not a since of safety, but a feeling of obligation to her life. After the storm of the century wipes out her home and tears apart her entire world, Dipsi recovers the only way she knows how; by helping her family return to normalcy. Now Dipsi works in the local bar, caring for her older brothers, and helping her town get back to a life that is as close to what they had as possible. But progress does not stop, even in a tiny fishing town.

So when a handsome stranger comes to town, showing interest in the area, Dipsi is instantly suspicious. Zale Elkmann has a lot of big ideas and a lot to prove. Finding the small town in need of a lift just might be his ticket to bigger and better things. Unfortunately, the town is nervous of newcomers and, while tourist friendly, isn’t excited about opening up to changes.

After a chance encounter with a pretty, mixed heritage local, Zale realizes there is more to this town than the chance to build his dream. Falling in love wasn’t in the plans for either Zale or Dipsi. Proof isn’t always enough to mend shattered trust, and it takes Dipsi realizing just how much she really loves Zale, and how much she’s willing to trust him before Dipsi accepts that everyone deserves a second chance. Zale deserves a chance to show her the life they both deserve, and Dipsi deserves a love-filled life.

Silent Squall is a love story filled with beautiful locations, unexpected sexual situations, emotions as unpredictable as the tide, and love that is modern and relatable. While touched with tradition, and multi-cultural color, Zale and Dipsi’s tale is a classic love story that listeners will yearn to be a part of.
