Very good story mixed with laugh out loud humor. I really like NP writing style. He is superb at mixing the serious with the humor and making it work. I highly recommend this book.

Loved the book and the narrating!

I'm looking forward to Nick's next book. This book was number 4 for me.

audio/personality

nothing negative just an observation... the character is a young man 33 or 37 but he is writen as a older man, or not apart of the same generation as his piers.

Missing Thomas Prescott Already!

Gratefully, April is around the corner, cause ‘The Jungle’ comes out. Already pre-ordered it!

Wish “Arrival” and “The Speed of Souls” was on Audible! I drive a lot for work and don’t have time to read an actual book, plus I love Johnny (the Narrator)!

I stumbled upon these books while scrolling through Audible Plus Catalog & so glad I did. His writing style is like no other- it’s real. You actually feel like you know these people. Excellent character development.

balloon reveal was totally contrived. dumb

I enjoyed the book except for the contrived reveal involving a hot air balloon. I knew what would happen before they boarded the balloon. Every reader would know how that would turn out. otherwise I enjoyed it and I like his work.

Excellent! Series continues to get better!

Excellent story with many twists and turns - multiple mysteries and stories built into one. The ending and behind the scenes discussion is great! Thomas continues to mature as a character and person. He is growing as a person without losing too much of his humor and becoming a person that controls his male hormones.

Enjoyed the series!

The protagonist, Thomas Preston's, smart alec humor makes this series a lot of fun to listen to. I am sad that I have finished it, would love to hear more. I appreciate that there is a global issue addressed in each book with pros and cons. I easily identify with this author, and agree, God is love.

I rarely do seconds!!

But I enjoyed this book and the authors wit so much I gave it a second listen. I found I liked it just a much this time as last.

I LOVE THOMAS PRESCOT

I so enjoyed every wisecrack made by main character, Thomas Prescott, in this book. He’s an unusual character that you just can’t help loving.
I’ve read this entire series & I’m hoping Nick Pirog & the excellent narrator, Johnny Heller, will keep this guy alive in future books. I really feel I know these characters, because the character building is so wonderful in this series. I would listen to just about anything Johnny Heller narrated & could not imagine anyone else narrating the Thomas Prescot books. So come on guys, give us another one soon. I’d spend all my credits on Thomas Prescot books. Johnny Heller, you sound like home to me. We both grew up in Chicago! Now I’m seeking out the other books you’ve narrated here on Audible.
