liked the spy aspect of this book but I do want a shift back towards the space combat of the previous books

Excellent addition to series!

Nice addition to a great series. The end is near for The Last Hunter. Look forward to reading it.

The weakest of the series

I really enjoy this series, however this book was all setup for a conclusion that fell flat. I’m still looking forward to where this goes. I will get the next one.

Worst Book In The Series? You're Not Wrong!

I'm gritting my teeth and getting through the series just to end the journey and hope that it at least ties a nice bow around the ending. But sadly, this book was probably the weakest in the series so far.

It's like someone else said in a review from a prior book... it's like the author is a middle-schooler who is trying to meet a word limit for a class assignment. The story is so ridiculously watered down it's not even funny. We get chapters where the visit fine dining restaurants and discuss food. They visit a mall. They go apartment shopping and on and on and on. And is there ANY payoff for any of these silly, superfluous chapters? No, of course not. They are completely pointless dead-ends.

There is also shockingly little conflict given the category that this book is in. And I'm not even talking about fighting. ANY conflict would be welcome. Even a verbal one once in a while would be a nice change. It's basically the love boat in space.

You're not wrong

This series had something going for it.
Then it just turned into an episodical, claiming one credit for the content of a tv episode.
But if I hear someone say 'You're not wrong' again I will punch something.
Every single character lacks personal agency, everyone agrees all the time.

I don't know if the series turned bland or if it always was.
Anyhows, this was the last one for me.
Go on, tell me I'm wrong

Really boring…

Lots of meaningless dialogue and repeating previous dialogue between characters. I probably fast forwarded through half the book. The same with the previous book. I’m not wasting money on any more books in the series, the authors need to close this on out and do something new and original.
