Shattered silence

Domestic abuse is an awful thing to live through. Mine was not so much physical as it was mental. Still results are pretty along lasting. I cannot understand how anyone can be so cruel to another person. Very good read.

The Texas Ranger voice was more New England

The storyline was interesting and intriguing, but the narrator did not have enough diversity in her voices. The teenage boys were too high pitched and not Texas. The Rangers accent was very distracting. I just kept telling myself to listen to the story.

Great story and performed well

The story keeps you guessing till the end. Characters well developed, many sub plots and interesting how they fit together. Good message shared. I look forward to reading more from this author!

Not needed

I do no like cliffhangers... they are not needed to get people to buy the next book.

I was Skeptical....

...oh how incorrect I was in believing that I was wasting my time listening to the Texas rangers series! The 1st book in this series was good, the 2nd was great; so now I'm going for awesome. No time to finish this review, I'm in the process of downloading #3 and I'm ready to start listening. Don't wait, download the series now and get to listening!!!!

Shattered Justice

This is a great book and series. Cody is helping Liliana try and solve several murders. Cody has just got custody of his son and his son doesn't like Liliana. He doesn't like Mexicans. I didn't like him at first but I changed my mind on him. This book had my interest from first till the end. There is a great storyline. I highly recommend this book. Heartwarming and interesting and the difficulties people go through in abusive realonships. Worth sharing and look forward to finding more from this author.

Suspense, Family, and the Dangers Near the Texas Border

Although the story has a Christian element, Christian theology is not prominent. The mystery is key in this story. The author has addressed several pertinent issues in modern society, such as bullying and white supremacy. Once I got into the plot, the suspense kept me listening. When the identity of the murderer was revealed, I had hoped that it was another more vicious character.
The performer struggled more in this second Texas Ranger story than she did in Book 1. I do not think she managed Ranger Jackson’s voice at all. Sometimes he sounded like his son. Finally, the romance is kept to a minimum, and I appreciated that fact, as well as the omission of bad language and graphic gore.
