Guarch escoge al judío español David Meziel, nacido en 1478 y expulsado a la edad de 14 años, como protagonista de su inquisición personal. Meziel vive 80 años y su vida lo lleva desde Portugal a Túnez, y de Egipto a la corte de Suleyman el Magnífico. Muchos judíos españoles anduvieron esos caminos, otros salieron por Ámsterdam y llegaron al Báltico, o huyeron por Italia, siguiendo a las tierras del Sultán. Exclente historia y muy bien contada.
Me encantó. Realmente atrapa y no se puede dejar a pesar de lo fuertes que son varios pasajes de esta historia. Nunca había pensado sobre esta parte de la historia de los reyes católicos. ¡Vaya error y horror! También me gustó la narración.
