Still waiting.

I feel like I missed something. How is it over? Well written but I’m wanting more. I’m still waiting for the drama.

Happy

I enjoyed the moral fortitude, being yourself, forgiveness mindset portrayed by the characters. Left me feeling happy.

just as good the second time

I first read this book when it came out since it was heavily recommended. I almost always wait for the audiobook but gave in, and it was worth it. then I got the audiobook when it came out and I found I enjoyed the story just as much even though I knew the outcome. that's a good book to me.

the story had great pacing. it never felt like anything was unnecessary or dragging too long.

the romance is exquisite. a couple you truly want to root for. Felicity and James aren't perfect, but they truly show you what true love is about. it's realistic and so romantic. the way they come to love each other is such a beautiful journey and you can truly see why they fall. they aren't similar people in their personalities or hobbies, but they love the other person for who they are, and they want that love so they put in the work. and it's truly beautiful

the rest of the supporting characters are great, they each have their personalities and motivations and reasons for the way they are. it's truly engaging. there was a lot of work put into each character development and it shows.

the author seems to be very knowledgeable of the time period. I'm no expert but I never felt taken out of the story by a modern sounding phrase or something that wouldn't happen in those times. and I truly appreciate that. it cane make or break a story.

the narration wasn't my favorite but that's not to say it was bad, because it wasn't. the male voice wasn't 100% great but I'm sure that's the hardest part, and I'm sure I couldn't have done better. in any case, this book is worth it. that's how good the story is. 10/10

do not skip this one, you will not regret it. it such a gem. I could talk about it for hours. and if when you read this, book 2 has become available on audible, go right on to it!! I've already read it (couldn't wait) and it's just as good.

thank you Kasey Stockton for a book I will be reading and hearing over and over <3

Cute story.

I do not care for the reader’voice. I this is my own preference. She did a very good job of reading.

Hmmm! I love Justine Eyre as narrator but not wild about the two together!

I wasn’t wild about mixing the two narrators. I think Justine does such a great job with male
Voices and the second narrator was good, just not for this book. The two didn’t mix well.

I always find it interesting when people criticize the personalities of the characters in the story. If they were different it wouldn’t make the book intriguing.

I listened to the first book and liked it. I will of course get the next one which will be about Henry

But I don’t think I can give it a 5 star. I was disappointed in the ending. It was like she was trying to hurry up and tie things up.

Certain dialogues seemed to go on forever and there were loose ends in my opinion.

I wanted to like this story…

But after 20 chapters of Felicity regularly listing her faults and failings I’d had enough. Talk about a broken record. Love this narrator, but will skip this author when choosing future books.

The Narrator is Lacking

I could barely finish listening to this because the woman narrating it set my nerves on edge. She had one vocal inflection: a hesitant gasp at the end of each sentence. It was beyond irritating, and was a detraction from the story. Please find professional actors to narrate these books! I will avoid any other books with her as the narrator. Disappointed in MC

This book has a good story and James (male MC) is very likable. However, Felicity (female MC) drove me crazy at times with her negative self talk and insecurities-although the story does try to show her growth in this area. This story had so much potential, so I would be willing to try another book by this author.

Sweet, but somewhat unrealistic

This is a sweet, touching romance, but I tire of the common vow authors' newlyweds make not to have relations, yet they are in such close proximity to each other. Especially as close as these two are! Completely unrealistic! Still, the story itself was good enough to make it worth listening to. Some unique characteristics.

This narrator is good, and I would like to give her a five, but her men's voices are a bit unnatural. Otherwise, her acting is good.
