In the post-apocalyptic world of "Seeds of Sustainability: How Electroculture and Community Gardens Overcame Oppression" by Hollis Morton, Ava witnesses the devastating effects of drought and food shortages in her community. Motivated to find sustainable agricultural solutions, she enrolls in university and meets her unconventional professor, Dr. Lopper, who introduces her to the fringe science of electroculture. Joining Dr. Lopper's research team, Ava experiments with electroculture prototypes and sees promising results. Dr. Lopper shares the idea of combining electroculture with keyhole gardens, and Ava recognizes this as a viable solution for drought-ridden areas. She joins Dr. Lopper's grassroots network and establishes pilot gardens, facing obstacles from Sheriff Rogers who tries to shut them down. As tensions rise and the movement is forced underground, Ava continues to empower others through secret workshops. Despite arrests and setbacks, Ava's dream of sustainable agriculture takes root, leaving a bittersweet ending hinting at more work to be done. This educational novel inspires hope and emphasizes the power of human ingenuity in the face of adversity.
