Doesn't disappoint

Excellent story, new chara ters are believable and old characters are still as interesting as always.

what a difference a narrator makes.

narration took away from the story, so not sure if I would of liked the story better with previous narrator, but I will read it to see if I enjoy the story.

Narrator a little too chirpy for me

A fire at the town library with people inside! Good story about Sugarland's suffragettes (including Verity's beloved Grandma) and a whole lot more. Like Frankie's missing stuffed lucky peacock, pet skunk Lucy's antics, and a whole lotta laughs, suspense, and a disputed moonshine still!

If you love Tavia Gilbert's narration don't buy this book

Why does an author decide to switch narrators after several books in a series? It is so frustrating! I would rather wait an extra few months for the established narrator than to have a release early where nothing sounds right. I'm not blaming Hollie for her narration which would be fine except for I' love Tavia's characters. In other books Frankie sounded like a gangster. In this book, Frankie sounds like the bullet to his head did brain damage. Maisie sounds like a cheerleader instead of a hardened old woman. Verity sounded okay at first but after 3 hours I am over her. I don't like Ellis so it was good that his part was limited in the first 3 hours. The only character I could listen to was gradnmother and only because she wasn't in previous books. I could not finish this book. I'm highly disappointed as I love this series by Angie but the narration completely ruins it for me. I won't be purchasing any more in the series unless Tavia is the narrator.

Totally different

I love this series but this book is nothing like its predecessors. Yes, the narrator is different (how can they change narrators on the 14th book?), but the writing isn't the same. Did they get a ghostwriter? I do not recommend.
