Story
After being sentenced to death for the accidental killing of a wealthy, well-connected man, Sela Meriweather is offered another option—to be stripped of her soul and sentenced to lifetime exile on Azazel, the vast prison-island. There, alongside “dangerous” criminals like herself, firstborn children of the Old Town chosen by the lot are sent to atone for the sins of their families. As one of the elected Righteous, Caleb Alexander’s path to widespread renown is guaranteed so long as he can endure a year as an overseer on Azazel, preventing the other guards from fraternizing with the prisoners.

Story
It’s been a week without power. No phones. No computers. Nothing. Whatever shred of humanity is left in people is slowly dwindling away. Gangs are forming, people are starving, and the whole country is in a free-for-all. Accompanied by his neighbor, Nelson, Mike leaves Pittsburgh and heads to his family’s cabin in Ohio. For Mike, the only thing worse than not making it to the cabin is the fear of his family not being there when he does.

Very Entertaining
What can I say when you mix aliens and humans together it all comes down to one big humorous mess. The stories are creative, unique, funny, entertaining, and just plain jaw-dropping. I found myself laughing out loud so much I think my husband thought about having me committed. I highly recommend this book if you love to laugh. I received this book for free upon my request. I am happy I did because it was hilarious. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review here of my own volition. This book is a MUST READ or LISTEN.

Ingenious and Funny
This collection is soooo good. And Duncan Galloway's narration is
superb. When he does the voice of certain characters, he's a bit
Monty Python-ish, which I love! I don't want to give away any of
the plots, but each one is clever, unique, and very humorous.
I'm, actually, not a fan of science fiction, but when I listened
to the sample, it sounded so funny--and it delivered, big time.
I was entertained, surprised, and I laughed a lot. I will listen
to these stories over and over.

SciFi Short Stories
N.B. I received a free copy of this book via freeaudiobookcodes.com. The stories didn't really capture me except for the second one, and then, only vaguely. Unsure if that was because of the stories themselves or the narrator.
