Ende 1942: Als die 6. Armee in Stalingrad eingeschlossen wird und dem "Führer" nichts als Durchhalteparolen einfallen, reißt Feldmarschall von Manstein endgültig der Geduldsfaden. Zusammen mit einem kleinen Zirkel von Verschwörern entmachtet er die Regierung und setzt eine militärische Elite unter der Federführung des Hohenzollern Louis Ferdinand von Preußen ein. Louis Ferdinand wird zum Kaiser des neuen "Großdeutschen Reichs" gekrönt.
