Good listen

The story started off slow and built throughout. The narration was very good. Overall a very good read. Look forward to more in the series.

My first audio

Didn’t know what to expect. Story was pretty good. I expect plot holes so some knee slapping is ok. Toler is not Lee Child.

Very much enjoyed the character development and the story line for the is book! Nicely done.

Like reading a Jr High creative writing assignment

Did not enjoy the juvenile feel. Or the idea that a “hardened, cold blooded, trained assassin” was so naive that she was distracted by a crush. Overall, it felt ridiculous, the juxtaposition of killer and jr high innocent.

The best audiobook I’ve listened to this year!

Oh my goodness! I loved this audiobook. The story and narrator are amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved Jamie and her fight to save girls from human trafficking. I highly recommend this author.

I enjoy spy thrillers

This book was advertised on Facebook as a female version of Jack Reacher. Ha, not even close. I guess the jokes on me as I never trust anything on Facebook. The book skipped over so many good parts and it could’ve been so much better but it just wasn’t. It fell flat for me. I’ll think I’ll be skipping the rest of them.

Keeps your interest

the story was great without the foul language. I like seeing the good guys win.

okay story

The story was good and the performance was good. but the dialogue and spoken thoughts of the main character were like those from a 15-year-old girl. they were inconsistent with those of a CIA agent. And from a writing perspective you would expect that the author or the editor or the reader would know the difference between lying and laying

Might have had expectations too high

I struggled through much of this book. At first I felt as though too much time was spent attempting to develop characters and the attraction between the 2 protagonists, given their short history, seemed to be a stretch for me. The pieces in the middle about the “yachts speeding up” was silly. A yacht might “speed up” from 16 knots to maybe 23. Also the convo about the champagne being fro France, that is the ONLY place that can produce “champagne”, sigh. Almost insulting to the reader (or listener) mayIn the end the neatly wrapped bow of success was great for those who require a completely happy ending was really, for anyone who has traveled to some of the places mentioned, unrealistic. The teaser for the next book of them pretending to be married seems a little Cinderellaish. I am contemplating whether to get the next in the series or just out this one to bed.
