Story
I almost didn’t publish Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It. Here I was, a CEO who’d fallen apart after his company failed, writing a book about how loving himself saved him. I thought I’d be a laughingstock and my career would be finished. But I stepped through the fears and shared my truth with the world. The book went viral. Amazing people all over bought copies for friends and family. For some, this book saved their lives. For others, it was the first time they ever loved themselves.

Story
A year and a half into our marriage, I found out my husband had been having an affair with a 19-year-old for six months. I filed for divorce and left. Two weeks later I met a man, and we fell madly in love. It was a fairy-tale romance for a month and a half, and he convinced me to join him on a romantic month-long vacation in Italy. Forty-eight hours before we were supposed to get on a plane, he told me he needed to go by himself. I was devastated. So, I had a decision to make. Either stay home and be heartbroken, or go travel Europe for a month by myself.

For us, it was a literal knock, with two men standing in crisply pressed uniforms. They had news. News that gutted us to the core - the death of our loved ones, a brother and two husbands - in combat zones. The thing about those moments is that it's almost inconceivable that they can happen to you. That is, until they do.

But some of us feel called to something else - something unseen, undefinable. Those hopes and nebulous dreams rest out over the horizon, beyond the chop and spray of the slate-gray sea that crashes at our feet. We know not how to reach those dreams; we know only that we must try.

Publisher's summary
What if your life suddenly lost all meaning?
How would you respond to hitting rock bottom?
Could you rebuild your identity?
"A powerfully vulnerable, entertaining and uplifting book about one man's journey from marriage breakdown to an awakening of consciousness." (Teresa de Grosbois, international best-selling author of Mass Influence)
Michael Tranmer had to discover answers to these questions and more after the heartbreaking end of his marriage. In an instant, his vision of building life and a family with his wife was replaced with a painfully blank slate. For the first time in his life, Michael faced the sadness of being lost and alone. The weight of the grief triggered an awakening of consciousness deep within his soul. As an engineer, Michael was presented with this ultimate problem to solve: Who am I now?
To find his answer, Michael turned inward. He began a courageous journey within to reengineer his life. As he ventured deeper, he learned hard truths about himself. At the same time, Michael began to experience moments of true bliss as he learned to live fully in the present moment.
Through his personal growth, Michael discovered mindfulness and spirituality, where he learned how to overcome persistent waves of sorrow. With the help of a colourful cast of characters, Michael learned practical steps to move forward and intentionally create the new life of his dreams.
In this raw and powerful memoir, Michael Tranmer fearlessly shares his transformational story from emotionally caged and heartbroken, to self-aware and fully expressed. His journey of self-discovery shows how he transcended his pain to find his greater purpose. On his inspiring journey, Michael discovers the one thing that will ultimately awaken himself, and others, to lasting happiness.

Incredible story few have the courage to tell!
Michael Tranmer’s Satori Ananda shares the heart-wrenching, raw and authentic story of a man on a journey that most - if not all - of us have faced: heartbreak to happiness. His rediscovery of purpose, truth, and focus came at the collapse of his marriage and the rebirth of his calling.
Honestly, I’ve not even finished the book yet and had to leave a review! I can’t stop listening! The other day, when I had to leave for an appointment, I had a hard time putting it down, having listened to several, nonstop hours of it.
Michael fills his story with the type of emotions and thought processes that we all go through, but few have the guts to admit. Let him take you through his journey, so you can re-examine your own. I am. And it’s powerful.
—- I’ll share more when finished, but for now - grab this memoir you’ll connect with in ways that are transformative. It’ll change your own path to happiness.

Powerful and uplifting book.
I enjoy this so much. The content not only describes Michael's journey but also gives the reader resources and mindful practices to support personal growth.
Michael clarifies his journey from depression and heartbreak to enlightenment in a way that makes you want to change your perspective on life. He narrates his journey to self-love and happiness in a way that anyone can relate to. This book is eye-opening for anyone who is heartbroken
Michael then describes how to shift your mindset, how to get your life on track, how to set missions. Optimistic change is very possible if we change our mindset and start accepting new experiences.
Very powerful and uplifting book. Highly recommended.

Unique and valuable
A unique book in its genre, Michael takes through the start of his own transcendence into seeing life through its higher spiritual form—love. Usually you read books from folks who have already ‘arrived’, but Michael’s book is taking you through his process of arriving, almost real-time. I enjoyed journeying with, and am now exploring some of the resources that he mentioned him on his transformation. And I think that would be this author’s hope in writing and sharing it!

A true eye opener
Michael really opens up in this raw and emotional memoir. Some might not see him as having a hard time at all, with so much in his life to be grateful for.
His story show us that our happiness is determined much more by who we are than by our circumstances.
As I listened to this, I could tell he has already come a long way. In other ways, perhaps he is just beginning.
