Good read

Good read but so short. Gives a good premise for the series. I received a free copy and left my honest review

Another great Jake Crowley Adventure!💜

I’m really enjoying going on these adventures with Jake. So much mystery, mixed in with some magic and as always plenty of evil danger lurking around.
The narration by Jonathan Waters was performed wonderfully. He always manages to bring the characters to life in a way I feel engaged with the story. I can’t wait for the next book.
This story has an HEA and can be read as a standalone.
I highly recommend this book.

Good Book

The premise of this book is misleading as I thought it was going to be a supernatural plot but it isn't supernatural in any way. Still, it kept my interest and I listened to the entire book. I liked the old Roman history. The female protagonist was a bit snobbish and was not my favorite character. This book is a good listen and the narrator did a fine job.

Really enjoyed this one

I have had the pleasure of bearing witness to 3 other books this character had been in, and liked this one as well. It didn't feel as in depth as some others but was still captivating. Without this narrator though, I don't know that I would've liked it as much.

A quick and fun mystery

This is an intro into the Jake Crowley Adventure series, so it was a relatively short Sherlockian mystery with paranormal overtones and secret societies that pulls you right along while doing a solid job developing the main characters for the books that follow (all of which I am planning to listen to). While the story itself is fairly interesting and somewhat predicable, the characters are likably and the narration exceptional (worth the addition of a star).

I was given this free review copy (ARC) audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Interesting story line.

I love the narrators voice! He changes pitch for characters and intonation.
The story is good. Main character is refreshing as a Vet with PTSD. It feels like it a totally possible story line- which adds a lot for me.
It’s a short listen so I finished it quickly. Action, adventure, and no really love plot- which I love.
I recommend. Plus it’s a series- which is even better!

Good Prequel

This is a Prequel and introduction to Jake Crowly. Hee is a new hire at a private school, as the history teacher. He is dealing with problems from his past being in the service of his country. The development of his character begins and in the next book continues to develop more depth. I actually listened to book 1 first and enjoyed it enough to go back to listen to the Prequel. Narrator does a good job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.
