Publisher's summary
But the threat Martin offers pales in comparison to the world ending cataclysm that is now on the horizon . . .
Maeve Leader and her group has found a safe haven thanks to Adam Watson. But they all know its temporary. Martin Drummond has redoubled his efforts to find them.
Despite the tranquility of their surroundings, there’s no peace to be found for Maeve. She still doesn’t know the fate of Pop and Crackle and she has no way of contacting Agaren.
When Agaren finally makes contact, it is not to facilitate the joyful reunion Maeve had envisioned. The Council has an ultimatum for the people of Earth. One the people of Earth may not be able to meet. And if they don’t, the Council will exact a world shattering cost.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Three months ago, Tansy Bloom quit monster hunting. Since then, she’s been trying to live a normal life (whatever that means), but ending up single, unemployed, and living on a boat outside her godfather’s pub definitely wasn’t part of the plan. So, when Tansy’s ex-husband – fellow monster hunter Rex Barclay – turns up like a bad penny and asks for her help with his latest investigation, Tansy reluctantly agrees. At first, the job appears to be a straightforward monster hunt – following a spate of large creature sightings, Rex believes a werewolf is on the loose in Norfolk.

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

Story
Meet Jessica Jones: retired superhero, private investigator, loner. She tried her best to be a shiny spandex crimefighter, but that life only led to unspeakable trauma. Now she avoids that world altogether and works on surviving day-to-day in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. The morning a distraught mother comes into her office, Jessica would prefer to nurse her hangover and try to forget last night’s poor choices. But something about Amber Randall’s story strikes a chord with her. Amber is adamant that something happened to her teenage twins while they were visiting their father in the UK.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

A heart-shattering loss leads to a reality-shattering discovery . . . Every bureaucracy has a rhythm, even the Department of Extraterrestrial and Alien Defense (D.E.A.D.). Dr. Greg Schorn has gotten used to that rhythm: go on assignment, take down a government-created alien hybrid, write up a report, rinse and repeat. Not that there’s no danger. Rounding up the escapees comes with more than a little risk. But Greg trusts the people around him, especially Mitch Haldron. At the D.E.A.D. Mitch has pulled him out of the fire more times than he can count. But everything is about to change: ...

Good story, fun ideas, good twists, but ... there are hiccups.
I tripped across this series and gave it a whirl. I very much enjoyed the story and concept. Virtual voice narration worked well despite the flattened delivery and occasional mispronounciation (but, hey, English is hard :-)
Unfortunately, the series needs editing, and more so as it progresses. It eventually became quite distracting :-(
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
