The Voices

I am SO GLAD Darius has a much more appropriate voice in this one as opposed to The Awakening. He actually sounds like a 20 year old here and in the previous book it was really hard to get past the “old man” voice that was used. Thank you for changing that - he is a beloved MMC and the right voice is necessary.

Geraldine — please change her voice. She is NOT some stocky manly girl. She’s goofy but she’s very attractive in the books and ends up with one of the heirs. How are you all going to portray sensual moments for her with that dang voice?

New Voice for Darius

They adjusted the voice for Darius from the first book and it's *much* better to listen to. I'm listening to this series for the first time and I even I agreed that the voice before was much too old for him. It's much easier to listen to now and the story and performances have been great! I might have to start reading the books soon so I don't have to wait for the next GA release to know the story!

They missed the mark on editing completely however

I really like this company that does these because regular Audiobooks bug me with the weird silence in the back. However this is the first one where I can automatically pick out where they didn’t correctly edit or they stumbled over works and restarted the sentence. I don’t mind it however, they are all human and I love them nonetheless

Voices all wrong!!!

I was highly disappointed with voices that were casted. First Orion is supposed to be like 25yrs old and he sounds like he’s in his 50/60s. And Darius his voice was not as bad in my opinion but he sounded like he tried too hard to have that gravelly broody tone. It just sounded forced. And my girl Geraldine they just did her so dirty with the voice they chose to give her. Whoever casted the voice actors clearly didn’t do their research beforehand. This series is one of my favorites so I really hope that they will fix and possibly recast (Orion and Geraldine at the very least) going forward because this was seriously disappointing.

Casting voices

The voices for the characters are wrong and multiple mess-up on the voice, Darius where he reads it wrong and doesn’t edit it correctly.

So much better than GA for book 1

Thank you GA for recasting Darius. However, it would probably be a good idea to have someone listen to the whole recording before actually releasing this copy to the world. Bloopers were left in. You actually heard the actor playing Darius mess up and say “oh!” And then repeat what he was supposed to say. When he and Orion are leaving the parking lot to go to see Lionel. That actually happened twice. Also, there was important dialogue missing. Fran asks Darcy and Tory a question and their response isn’t in the audio and Fran basically replies to her own question. In chapter one Darius’ actor’s voice comes over as Caleb’s dialogue. Also can we stop making Geraldine sound like Eunice from “she’s the man.” It’s a little ridiculous. As much as I am complaining I can’t wait for you to release book 3 and please record book 1.5. Thanks!

Overall great, but some voices just don't fit

Overall the production is entertaining and wonderful. There were are some editing errors that should be fixed, but that happens. The new voice of Darius is great. I personally like Lance's voice cuz it gives him the intellectual vibe that he had in the books. I don't think he sounds old, just well read. I don't think the actress for Geraldine in right for the character. The actress is fine in other GAs I've listened to, but Geraldine is supposed to be bubbly and over the top. I would really like for them to recast Geraldine. The VA for Mildred was great and would have been great for Geraldine.

Worst narrator

Absolutely loved the graphic audio, finished them in 2 days. Loved the story so much so I decided to dive into the rest and was met with this. The narrators voice is like glass being shattered in my ears. Like why?

Why does Orion sound 60???

I love this story! I’ve already read all of them on physical books, so I was excited when I seen it came out with graphic audio. However- some of the voices are so WRONG! I love Darius’s voice now that they changed it- so i’m praying that they fix Orion’s voice next. He’s supposed to be a young hot broody professor, not this 60yr old man. He’s also very sarcastic, but the current narrator does not portray that. I’m not liking his character at all, because of the voice & how it’s being read. Overall I am still enjoying it- just hope they change Orion!

Love the graphic audio

This was awesome! The best way to listen to this book. I hope there is a graphic audio done for the rest of the series.
