The level of deception that can exited in some people.

I totally misjudged how the story line of this book would be played out. At first I had the impression that Ms. Glass was taking the time to give more of the back ground information as a build up so that her readers can gain an understanding of how healthy, intelligent women fall into degrading, abusive marriages. I kept waiting for when the children would be taken to Cathy's home to be cared for. That never happened, and the story continue on as though I was reading a murder mystery slash thriller. Cathy's proved herself to be a pretty darn good romance writer as well in this story. Personally I can handle brief moments of physical love moments and this story had the right amount. It got the level of passion and excitement across without going over board or worse yet raw and dirty. I really enjoy this writing by Ms. Glass!

Cathy Glass!!!!

I really loved this book. It kept me engaged and was both heartbreaking and inspirational at the same time. Domestic violence happens all of the time unfortunately. This was a peek into one of those lives.
