Acerca de esta escucha

Rumpole again defends a member of the Timson clan on a charge of possession of stolen goods - namely, he is caught with a garage full of expensive wine. Rumpole is concerned that Timson's explanation that he purchased the wine from some unknown individual he met in a pub will not go down well with Mr. Justice Graves, who has heard these stories many times before.

Reseñas editoriales

John Mortimer's Rumpole and the Blind Tasting has the old British barrister Rumpole defending another member of the Timson clan, the family that is Rumpole and Hilde's bread and butter. Leo McKern compellingly dramatizes Rumpole as he defends Hugh Timson who has apparently stolen an entire garageful of wine. Equal parts mystery, crime drama, and comedy, this audiobook based on the popular television series will not disappoint listeners. Full of wry humor, smart soliloquys, and everyone's favorite characters, this volume is the among the very best of Rumpole.

There’s nothing like Leo McKern reading Rumpole of the Bailey! And so brilliantly written by John Mortimer!

Leo McKern and John Clifford Mortimer deliver the very model of the English barrister of a bygone and much missed day. Rest easy, good sirs, beneath angel choirs...and you, dear reader, listen to Rumpole spin his yarn about deceptions both in and out of Court.

Rumpole, as he was meant to be heard

Leo McKern is (was?) the REAL Rumpole. Always a complete delight to hear his portrayal.

The real Rumpole

John Mortimers Rumpole books are always funny and literate but for me it is Leo McKerns incomparable performance as Rumpole that puts certain of them over the top. I have listen to this one more than once to enjoy its humor, erudition, and fine acting . Great fun!

Wonderful performance

Hilarious plot and wonderful expressive language as always...even funnier than most. The best ever.
