Chill out Marianne..

I love the content of this book, but Marianne's tone of voice and energy level stressed me out. Take a breath and realize we are not arguing with you Marianne :)

Older recording, GOLDEN insight.

Would you consider the audio edition of Romantic Relationships to be better than the print version?

Since there's no print version of these live recorded public talks; these recordings are the only version.

Any additional comments?

The recording is a little rough, but this book is PROFOUNDLY INSIGHTFUL and inspiring on many levels.

nice but poor sound quality

Any additional comments?

This is great - I'm a huge fan of several leaders in the self-help movement, and M. Williamson is quickly becoming my favorite. Unlike some other prominent figures who seem to have gotten 'stuck' 5 or 15 years ago, she continues to develop, mature, and channel wisdom above and beyond my expectations. Her prayers are SOOOO powerful. I've pretty much stopped all affirmation and meditation in my daily spiritual practice and just use her prayers combined with various visualization and hypnosis tools when I have time. This particular audiobook is somewhat rambling and the sound quality is poor, but the insights are great. It isn't as much about romantic relationships as I was hoping. It's much more about our own identification with the 'need' to be in a relationship, which isn't really my problem - I find myself in a state of ambivalence about romance and this audiobook somewhatt increased my ambivalence. Still, it's gold.

Worth reading, despite the audio

Although the lectures may seem redundant from time to time, Williamson makes some very interesting points in regards to romantic relationships.

Unfortunately the quality of the audio is not the best and the pace of the audio is too fast.

Interesting Lecture

This was my first audio of Ms Williamson. I found the lecture to be a little to fast paced to really absorb the material. The quality of the recording was below average. I didn't realize before I purchased that this was a compilation of lectures she has given so there is some repetitive discussions on the topics. She constantly refers to "Courses of Miracles" like an infomercial which I had no idea what it was until I looked it up. She has some interesting points, but overall I was not impressed with this particular audio. I may try one of her books narrated, but listening to her lectures was a little numbing.

Stop fighting with the audience / listener

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I'd recommend this author for someone who likes to believe that they are too dumb to value in their own native intelligence and need to be shown the way by being beaten over the head with external "wisdom".

Has Romantic Relationships turned you off from other books in this genre?

Definitely turned me off this author.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The author / speaker is shrill and talks as though the listener is a bad child that needs to be reminded that they're stupid.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Turned off and walking away. Anger, disappointment, etc. would be wasted energy....too little time to waste on people who are full of their own arrogant, wondrous self-importance.
