Acerca de esta escucha

If you're looking for a collection of Roman myths that speaks to all ages then keep listening....

Feats of strength and skill, monsters, magic, divine interventions, and the overcoming of impossible odds by larger-than-life figures all feature in this audiobook.

The Roman myths contained in this collection will be brought to life so all the details are more than merely a bunch of dry facts.

Not only does this audiobook offer captivating stories for you to enjoy, but it also gives you impressive knowledge about history. For example, the story of the rape of Lucretia, an incident that supposedly sparked the revolt against the early Roman monarchy and led to the development of the early Republic, may have been based on actual historical persons and events.

  • The Wanderings of Aeneas
  • The Story of the Founding of Rome
  • The Rape of Lucretia
  • Hercules and the Giant of Latium
  • The Quest for the Golden Fleece
  • The Creation of the World
  • And many more

So if you want a collection of engaging Roman myths that can cause some people to scream for more as oppose to falling asleep, buy this audiobook now!

I have read Metamorphoses, Jason and the argonauts, the Aeneid, and I have heard about the rape of Lucretia. This even tells an interesting story about Romulus and Remus and effectively ties it to the story of Aeneas escape from Troy. What this does incredibly well is lay out the stories in an easily readable format with all the facts intact along with dialogue that fits perfectly. The full size stories can be difficult to make your way through but this takes all the best parts of the Aeneid for example and lays them out for your listening pleasure. This also did the same with the Metamorphoses which is awesome. It contained a story about Hercules that I had never heard before and the rape of Lucretia was well told. This book does not disappoint and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to become aquatinted with some of the most important stories of Roman and Greek mythology. Highly recommend!

This lays out the most important Roman/Greek myths for your listening pleasure.
