Acerca de esta escucha

When Marcinko’s “friend”, the head of the CIA, asks him to spend a little quality time in Cuba, the Rogue Warrior finds there’s no way to say no. Once there, Marcinko and company discover that Fidel Castro is on his deathbed. Which wouldn’t be so bad, except that he’s planned a catastrophic surprise for the U.S. as his going-away present. The Rogue Warrior must find out the nature of that little surprise and thwart it before Castro kicks the bucket.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"...a laugh-out-loud read that somehow melds the wackiness of Janet Evanovich with a military thriller a la Clancy." ( Booklist)

Pleasantly surprised.....picked it up on a recommendation from a friend and liked the story. Will have to text out a couple more but overall decent story and main character is a good sort.

Would you consider the audio edition of Rogue Warrior: Seize the Day to be better than the print version?

Yes, but only because I can listen and do other things.

What did you like best about this story?

Good action, intricate plot.

What about Peter Ganim’s performance did you like?

Able to keep interest up even during expositions.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

I had previously read all of the books in the Rogue Warrior series. Really happy when I discovered that audible had them in this format.

great addition to the rogue warrior seriesY

I think I have read every book on SEAL teams. I have read negative comments on Mr Marino by other SEALzs but in my my mind. He was a true American patriot. RIP sir.

Well done. The book held my attention completely. Well written. The dialog is spot on. Marcinko does it again.

Cuba Libre! My favorite sandwich of all time is a Cuban sandwich. I love stories that involve Cuba.

The book was ok, not great. It takes a fair amount of suspension of reality but made the daily communte go better,

Demo Dickie Marcinko is still the SharkMan!

Not bad - a bit 'Dirk Pitt'ish

Is there anything you would change about this book?

First, I love this series but this is the weakest one I have read. There should be a lot more meat to the story. Instead you get a bunch of last second SNAFU moments. While common in the series it is overdone a bit. The premise is far fetched and fairly unrealistic which takes somethi ng away from the book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Richard Marcinko and Jim DeFelice again?

I would give it a try. No one hits a home run every time and I have enjoyed most of the series.

What aspect of Peter Ganim’s performance would you have changed?

The narrator needs greater range in his voices. He also needs to do a better job of adding emotion to the characters, especially Dicks sarcasm which doesn't come across in this book.

Do you think Rogue Warrior: Seize the Day needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, all the books in this series are one-offs. This story in particular was one of the weakest in the series.

Any additional comments?

If you are a hard core Rogue Warrior fan go ahead. Otherwise, I would save the credit and get some of the older books. I tried my best but gave up at about 80% of this book.

Rouge Warrior: Operation Yawn.
