Acerca de esta escucha
Kay's life is in a mess. Now she's been given the chance to go back and relive six days of her life again. Can she use them wisely to turn things around?
At 18, she had it all - brains, beauty, and plans for a glittering career. By 43, she is barely scraping a living and renting a grotty flat above a chip shop. Traded in by her husband for a younger model, she spends her life seeking solace in vodka and one night stands.
With her new found ability to time travel Kay makes good use of her trips back in time, from reliving Christmas Day in the 1980's to turning private detective in her own divorce case. But will an attempt to unmask a murderer in the local community be her undoing?
Rock Bottom is the second in a loosely connected series of time travel novels. It features characters and situations from the accompanying Time Bubble series and can be listened to standalone or alongside those stories.

Historia
Richard Kent is feeling well and truly fed up. As he approaches middle age, his waistline is expanding, his career options are dwindling, and everything from pop music to television seems like it was so much better in his youth. If that isn't depressing enough, his wife nags him, his kids ignore him, and his boss thinks he's a dinosaur. He's just about ready to give up, but then a truly remarkable encounter with his younger self changes everything.

Historia
When I think about what I actually did, I feel somewhat sad that nobody will ever know about the complex operation that I undertook. Getting away with it is highly preferable, of course, but perhaps when I’m long gone, someone will open an old safe and find this confession. The public would reel. After all, almost nobody else in the world can possibly understand how someone, by the tender age of twenty-eight, can have calmly killed six members of her family. And then happily got on with the rest of her life, never to regret a thing.

If you're a man of a certain age you'll know there comes a point in life when getting a sports car and over-analysing your contribution to society sounds like a really good idea. With a good job in sales and marketing and a nice house in Manchester that he shared with his wife and kids, John Bishop was no different when he turned the dreaded 4-0. But instead of spanking a load of cash on a car that would have made him look like a senior stylist at Vidal Sassoon, he stumbled onto a pathway that ultimately lead him to become one of the nation's best loved comedians.

Historia
In "Books and Roses", one special key opens a library, a garden, and clues to at least two lovers' fates. In "Is Your Blood as Red as This?", an unlikely key opens the heart of a student at a puppeteering school. "'Sorry' Doesn't Sweeten Her Tea" involves a "house of locks", where doors can be closed only with a key - with surprising unobservable developments. And in "If a Book Is Locked There's Probably a Good Reason for That Don't You Think", a key keeps a mystical diary locked (for good reason).

In no time at all, he's moved into Betty's lovely cottage and is preparing to accompany her on a romantic trip to Europe. Betty's grandson disapproves of their blossoming relationship, but Roy is sure this scheme will be a success. He knows what he's doing. As this remarkable feat of storytelling weaves together Roy's and Betty's futures, it also unwinds their pasts.

Horrible sound quality
Sounds like it was recorded with a laptop mic in noisy environment. I liked the previous book, but this is annoying, and I'm not sure I will be able to finish.
