In this twisted tale of love, murder, and family secrets, nothing is ever as it seems.
Identical twin sisters Tokyo and India are as opposite as night and day. India is content with going to college and planning a family, while Tokyo runs a murder-for-hire business that has been extremely profitable for her. She has no patience for men or love in her life. She takes big risks to make money and always gets her target by any means necessary.
It is during one of those big risks that Tokyo meets the man who would unexpectedly sweep her off her feet. Python runs the city, unbeknownst to Tokyo, and after he saves her from an incident that almost costs her life, he wants her to himself … for both business and pleasure. Tokyo has never allowed herself to fall in love before, but Python’s boss swagger soon has her smitten with him. She breaks her rules and lets him into her heart, but loving him will come with severe consequences.
India has been with the same man for years, but since getting pregnant with his child, she has noticed that he is acting very suspiciously. Still wanting to have faith in her man, she ignores her intuition that something more is going on than what he’s telling her. When her sister finally reveals the truth about him to her, she refuses to believe it, and the tight bond the twins once shared is shattered.
Jacob was abandoned at birth by his mother. He comes to town on a crazy quest to find her and kill her and the siblings she decided to keep. Once he discovers the life that Python has, Jacob decides he wants to claim that for himself. Revenge is replaced with jealousy, and Jacob becomes obsessed and does everything in his power to become him, even if that means hurting people in the process. He finds unlikely help in India, and together they devise a plan to make them rich.

😒 The read is so long for no reason. Myles Washington is one of my favorite narrators but I just couldn't do it.
