There's an old saying: 'a rising tide lifts all boats'.

It's normally couched in positive terms; that overall economic improvement will benefit everyone. In the case of high-tech money laundering, however, it offers a dark vision of the future. The better these launderers become at their work, the more crime of all types will be enabled. It's time to understand where the water is rising, before it washes over us all.

Money laundering has been around for centuries. For as long as people have been stealing money, there's been an industry ready to wash it. But recent tech innovations have created vastly complex new systems for laundering that threaten to overwhelm authorities, destabilise economies and disrupt societies.

Ranging from the flamboyant luxury of Dubai hotels to quiet coastal Ireland, from the UK to Nigeria and from Indonesia to North Korea, Rinsed is a truly global relevatory investigation into the new army of innovative launderers ... and the consequences for all of us.

Well written and entertaining. Only issue is quite baffling as the reader has a speech impediment (R) which made it difficult to get into the book. How does that happen???

Great read!

Everything is good for the person who is technically knowledgeable but for non technical people need more explanation.

Phenomenal storytelling. Geoff's voice is engaging and his passion for the material is evident in that. I love listening to books read by the author. I've also read countless books on these subjects, including Geoff's Lazarus Heist, and Andy Greenbergs's Tracers in the Dark, and still found the material to be new and engaging. Enjoy!

A great listen!

I really loved this book. I wanted to contribute to the review statistics because it’s a great book. Similar to fat Leonard. It’s has been great keeping me entertained while doing landscaping all day.

Excellent variety and topical stories

Overall a good book, some gritty parts but chapter on NFTs and cryptocurrency tumblers were enlightening.

Good book on laundering money

If you’re in tech or if you’re not, this is a fascinating look at how criminals take advantage of technology. Geoff covers the technical aspects (to keep us nerds happy) but does so in a way the lay person can understand.

This is well worth the listen, you’ll be happy you bought it!

Geoff does it again!

Insightful, loved all the details and backstories. Only issue was the ton of the reader. Unfortunately, I got confused when trying to keep up with all the stories and characters from one chapter to the next.

Great book

2/3rds of this book are just re-reporting of Andy Greenberg’s book “Tracers in the Dark”. Some other parts are just summaries of official congressional reports. Disappointingly little original research.

Almost but not quite plagiarism
