Band 1: Rico und die Tuchlaterne: Rico denkt anders als andere Kinder. Langsamer nämlich und… um Ecken herum. Dann verliert er sich im Gedankenlabyrinth. Und manchmal verläuft er sich auch, wenn er um Ecken herumgeht – ein echtes Problem in einer großen Stadt wie Berlin. Wie soll das erst werden, wenn er in die Schule muss? Mama nimmt Rico also mit zu einem Schultest. Dort ist eine Frau, die nicht ganz verstehen will, warum Dreiecke vom Aussterben bedroht sind. Ob es am Ende doch die richtige Schule für Rico gibt, in der er so sein kann, wie er ist?
Band 2: Rico und die Klautörtchen: Rico und Mama sind umgezogen. Ihm wird ganz schwindelig, wenn er daran denkt, dass im neuen Haus zwanzig Leute wohnen. Rico kann ja kaum unfallfrei bis Zehn zählen … Aber dank der leckeren Vorstellungstörtchen lernt er Frau Dahling mit den bunten Lockenwicklern kennen und findet in ihr direkt eine neue Freundin. Wäre da nur nicht Fitzke, der miesgelaunte Saftsack aus dem vierten Stock. Und dann verschwinden auch noch die Törtchen im Haus auf geheimnisvolle Art und Weise. Ob es Rico gelingt, den fiesen Dieb auf frischer Tat zu ertappen?
