About this listen

Reyna Leoine has good reason to hate the Vampyr after what one did to her mother. Her goal in life is to stay as far away from them as possible. When she compulsively accepts a dare to enter their domain - the Gladiator - Reyna questions her sanity. When the leader of the local Vampyr clutch claims her as his, Reyna does the sensible thing. She runs.

Tariq recognizes his Heart’s Blood the minute he sees her sitting at the bar. After centuries of being alone, he has no intention of allowing her to escape him. When she manages to do just that, Tariq goes a little crazy.

Tariq Bastien does what Vampyrs do best - he hunts. The more he discovers about her, the less it makes sense. No human should be able to escape him, and he’d recognize one of his kind. When he finally finds her, will the mystery of her past draw them together or drive them apart?

whew chile!

I haven't read the physical book of this story but the audible version was good. I liked the story. The different creatures were interesting and they were from out of space😏. The narrator was good. She had great levels to her narration.

4.5 stars across the board!

This story had so many twists and turns. It is a different take on Vampires and their origin. The story was enjoyable and the narrator was great! Now that it has ended I want more. I will definitely continue to read and listen to this author and hope to find more from this narrator. 4.5 stars across the board!

This was an interesting story.

I like the story in the characters it’s a great start to a series to build on. The heroine was good not annoying in the main character male was also good. The narration was great. It was a little bit on the predictable side once the story started unfolding. I think it could’ve developed more background on the mother and daughter issues to get a better understanding and grasp of things but all in all it was a great listen

Remarkable Storyline

Please tell me there will be another book. I want to know more about Reyna’s family and JC’s story. Will Jorlin find love?

She could have been better

Before I began I want to state that I did like the story. I almost did not like her because for someone who helped to build a successful company and was knocking at the door of thirty she came off as so childish and irrational as all get out. I kept waiting to hear her thought processes and listen to her get it together and it just did not come. Okay... I like fantasy romance as much as the next person, anything can happen. I think you can't cross some lines or roles. You can not be licking things in areas and wanting to mate then step into the father figure role. You just can't clean that mess up and act like it didn't happen. That is what killed the book for me and I understand the shifter life and all that but.... no.
