Prinz Dimo Löwenbart ist mit seinen dreiunddreißig Jahren noch immer nicht im Leben angekommen. Wie sein Vater, der König, DAS findet, muss wohl nicht näher erläutert werden! In dieser "Idylle" ereilt Dimos Vater der Hilferuf des unbekannten Königs Dornpunzel: Die Entführer seiner Tochter, Rösi, haben sich nach zehn Jahren erneut mit einer kryptischen Nachricht gemeldet.
Sehr zu Dimos Leidwesen beschließt sein Vater kurzerhand, ihn (ausgerechnet IHN) für die Rettung der Prinzessin einzuspannen. Doch die Heldenaufgabe erweist sich alles andere als einfach, denn die liebliche Prinzessin entpuppt sich als scharfzüngige Kratzbürste, die sogar Drachen durch bloße Worte vom Himmel keifen könnte. Dimo ahnt nicht, dass er ungewollt Teil eines perfiden Plans geworden ist: Sein machthungriger Cousin, Grindelieb, hat die Heldenaufgabe nur inszeniert, um selbst an die Krone zu kommen. Bevor Dimo sich versieht, steht er vor dem Wendepunkt seines Lebens: Schafft er die Heldenaufgabe? Will er König sein oder lieber Skandalprinz? Fragen über Fragen...
