This is an easy and clear description on the journey of those wanting to vote and efforts to suppress that right.

A concise history of the progress towards fair voting for all in the U.S. It weaves the efforts of women and minorities throughout American history—almost 250 years—to expand voting rights so that everyone’s voice counts. There are enough names and details that interested readers can follow up with their own research, but it covers a lot of information while remaining interesting.
