All tied up in bloody little bows...

When I initially read the description (while anxiously awaiting the next installment of Safe Haven) I had my doubts about the genre shift, while it falls in my list of go-to's, I was curious to see how he he would execute his usual character format. Here, here are these people, they Ate a little nuts, but a family in the end... you love who your are supposed to and detest the bad guys. Next thing you know, he decides to flip that on its head. Overall, ending was perfection and very well executed 🤭

great listen

I have to admit that this is not a genre I frequently listen to, however because I enjoy Chris' other series so much I decided it would be worth the listen... and it definitely was! And the narrator? As with all her other readings Kim is flawless. I thoroughly enjoy listening to her tell this author's stories.

If you like young girls being murdered.

I loved this author and narrator team in Christopher’s Zombie books. The End of everything. If you like the zombie apocalypse genre this team does an awesome job. Get all his Zombie books.However Relentless was too horrific for me. Roasting Teenage boys alive and young girls being eaten alive by rats is alittle to much horror for me. I gave the books a high mark because it was well written, very suspenseful, excellent narrator just not for me. But if you like horror this does get you hooked. I kept listening , after all. But that’s enough gross horror for awhile.maybe ever.

Insane

First book, was very captivating, I really liked that the characters were super human in something outrageous, they were just average joes trying to survive a sick game
The second a third felt more that way though, having one person almost super human, able to do things others couldn’t- which is fine, but I thought it would’ve been similar to the first in that aspect.
Overall it was a good listen, great work!

Relentless: The Complete Box Set

Well worth the credit to receive the complete box set. This is a horror story of real life monsters and what humans are capable of. Well written by Christopher Artinian and skillfully narrated by Kim Bretton.

Eeek!!!!

So I read the books but with how terrifying they were I swore I would not listen.
Never say never - when I bought the box set on Kindle I could get the audible for a reduced rate so, why not?
Kim delivers so much and it felt like living in a new terrifying world for awhile.
All the characters had different voices (one of which sounded a bit too much Lucy from Safe Haven but I digress).
Listen, love, hope and enjoy- even if most die… 🎭

Holy Moly! INTENSE!!

Nothing like his last books. This 3 book series is on the edge of your seat intense, fast-paced, true horror. Imagine having a night out and waking up in a whole different city or country. You'd only wish you were still sleeping as this nightmare is happening while fully awake. Kim Bretton once again brings the characters to life and truly brings to life or death the frightening story and fate of what's about to happen to each person. Hang on to your seat with these books. It's going to be a very bumpy, bloody ride!!

Holds your attention & interest the ENTIRE time.

All 3 books are awesome from the 1st sentence to the very last! The author does a great job of keeping you caught up in the story and emotionally invested in the characters. I finished all 3 books very quickly after starting them and couldn't wait for my free time to continue them. I also love that the chapters, although many, are very short. I think that really helps to give a fast pace feel when listening to the books. Wonderful narrator too! Well def be checking out more books by this author and narrator.

Wow

I had no idea what to expect with this series. I wasn’t sure what the series was even about I just read the reviews and decided why not get it. I loved it! I want to find more books just like these. It was creepy and scary and each book had strong likable characters and also characters you love to hate. I was rooting for the victims with every page turn and I was really excited to see how the last book in the series played out. So good!! Think of the worst people in the world getting to decide what game they can play against other humans. Think of the sickest most twisted forms of punishment and then put them in game form. Then think about your friends going out one night having the best time and then suddenly waking up to their worst nightmares. Then think about the revenge you would take on the ones who hurt the ones you love.
That is this series in a nutshell. It is awesome.

Never expected this from one of my favorite author

While not his usual genre, Christopher Artinian hits it out of the park with this horror series. When I say that after listening to Book 1 it took me a while to screw up my courage for Book 2, I am not kidding. But so very glad I finally did. This is a great three book series. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, nervous about what was going to happen next. I was very happy with the ending. No spoilers from me so you'll just have to listen to them all. Kim Bretton, as usual, does an amazing job, giving every character their own voice. She makes you feel as if you were right there with them. What a great talent to have. I highly recommend this Relentless series and what a great deal to get them all together in a box set!
