About this listen
Once the breathing rhythm and a general calm has been established you will be guided through a progressive relaxation procedure, focusing on each part of the body in turn, releasing muscular tension and easing stress while maintaining awareness of a gentle breathing rhythm. With the music and instructions you will drift peacefully into deeper and deeper relaxation.
Once the stage by stage relaxation of the body has been completed, you will be encouraged to imagine yourself lying peacefully on a tropical beach and move into an ever deeper state of relaxation, calmed and pacified.
Finally you will be brought gradually back to a state of wakefulness, rested and refreshed.

Story
A blinding snowstorm - and a homicidal maniac - traps a small party of friends in an isolated estate. Out of this deceptively simple setup, Agatha Christie fashioned one of her most ingenious puzzlers, which in turn would provide the basis for The Mousetrap, the longest-running play in history. From this classic title novella to the deliciously clever gems on its tail (solved to perfection by Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple), this rare collection of murder most foul showcases Christie at her inventive best.

Story
Northern Ireland, spring 1981. Hunger strikes, riots, power cuts, a homophobic serial killer with a penchant for opera, and a young woman’s suicide that may yet turn out to be murder: on the surface, the events are unconnected, but then things—and people—aren’t always what they seem. Detective Sergeant Duffy is the man tasked with trying to get to the bottom of it all. It’s no easy job—especially when it turns out that one of the victims was involved in the IRA but was last seen discussing business with someone from the loyalist Ulster Volunteer Force.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Great way to Relax
Would you listen to Relaxation again? Why?
Yes, I have listened to this audio many times. It has two sessions. One is a 15 minute session to be used at any time and the second is a 30 minute relaxation session to be used at bedtime. I like them both very much. Hugh Fraser's voice is very soothing to me and I find it easy to let go of stress and become restful while listening to him.

Maybe even 5 star.....
I was a little skeptical about this title, and I first thought the gentlemen's voice seemed a little "overly smooth". But once I stopped thinking and started listening, I was out like a light. My life often resembles the commercial for Adult ADD - non stop stress and interuptions. This audiobook and and a few by Glenn Harrold have helped me work a few "Power Naps" into my week. (It seems that in complete silence my brain continues to make "to do lists", but with this audiobook I calm down much faster.) I often feel more refreshed after one of these sessions than I do after 8 hours of sleep.

Very Relaxing- Until Audible Brands It
I really enjoyed this Relaxtion, I've used it to try and quiet my brain when getting to sleep was a problem, or to use time on an airplane to just mellow out and regroup with my brain cells. However, at the end of roughly 45 minutes, when I'm at my most relaxed, and usually have headphones in, the Audible man suddenly pipes up with "This is Audible!" at a volume nearly twice that of the track. If they append the ending, I can recommend it with 5 stars, no hesistation, it's not weird, religious, etc. just walks you through the thought progess to get your body and brain to just mellow out.

Perfect for ruminators
If your brain keeps you up by running through your to-do list/ or replaying the day, this is for you. I use it on nights when listening to a story doesn’t help me drift off. Definitely set the timer when you listen so the “this is Audible” branding doesn’t wake you up.

only half of what i paid for?
This book is only half as long as the 55 minutes stated. It is split into two tracks that are 99% the same. The relaxation portion is well done but the wake up sections consists of counting from 1 to 10... Thats it. The music can be hard on your ears at certain times and the beach section sounds just like my alarm clock. Audible has other books just like this one, I am going to try a few others.
