The core issue of dealing with all addictions is learning how to develop a healthy relationship with one's self. The first chapter describes one of the most powerful addictions - relationship addiction. Most codependency issues center around relationships.
In the second chapter we deal with the core - developing a healthy relationship with ourselves. It is the ultimate relationship and the most important one. All relationships stem from self.
In Chapter 3 we look at loving others. The key to all relationships is safety. You can't have love without first feeling safe.
