About this listen

Nationally best-selling author Mary Monroe penned the widely acclaimed novels God Don't Like Ugly and God Still Don't Like Ugly.

Red Light Wives is a sassy and scandalous novel of six women who engage in the world's oldest profession. They have something else in common too, their "manager," Clyde Brooks - a charismatic but hard man who fills many roles in each woman's life. But soon, an act of rebellion may change their relationship forever.

Exciting

This book was a page turner! it's as if the author gave you a direct line in just more than what was stated. The growth of each character was worth the wait.

I Didn't Want it to End

That was a really great& entertaining book. . Though the unraveling of Clyde's character was unfortunate, I didn't feel an ounce of pity. I was happy that all the women entangled in his web somehow got liberated cause things could've turned out much differently. Great Story!

Good Book

This book was good. I'm glad they all survived the trials and craziness that life brought them.

Awesome Story, Great Performances, But

It sounded like the narrator for Raquel was either sucking on a peppermint or holding spit in her mouth it was quite annoying. Love love this story though.

Gonna Miss Checking on the Girls

I didn't want the story to end where it did but I was satisfied for the way it ended. I literally cried when Lula announced introduced her last chapter. Even though Esther didn't end up in what (I believe most would consider) the best living situation I believe she wouldn't have traded her outcome for the lifestyle she was once acustomed to. Awesome read!

Took a star away in the performance category for Patricia Floyd's narration of Raquel. I did not care to listen to her suck on the lozenges in my ear.

good book

I love the storyline and dive into some women's untold story. I want a add a bit of advice for Patricia Floyd. I follow you and only listen to some books because of you. Please stop recording when drinking and eating. it takes away from the story. I'm not just speaking of this book but others as well. The sound of rattling ice us also annoying. You are awesome in your narrations and creating meaningful believeable experiences. Just a note. I love following you through audible.

Loved it

Mary never disappoints, I loved the exploration of each character background. Everyone’s story was so different on how they got there.

wasn't what I expected. overall good read

the only thing I didn't like was yhe voice change of the mentally challenged girl. I had gotten use to one tone of voice and the there was a switch I couldn't catch at first, but events adjusted to. everything else good
