Nothing to write home about

The story was ok, nothing to write home about, at least it was short and I did finish it.

The narration was extremely slow and I listen to the book at 1.5.

Fantasy Is Not For Me – I Love Megan's Older Work

👻 Melissa Benjamin (Mel) has moved into a new apartment. She searches high and low for the source of the scent of lilacs, to no avail. She also hears the plinking of a music box – the style of a little girl's with the ballerina inside.

Jonathan Adams is a medium. He deals with all sorts of ghosts, from the scared, angry, lost, etc. he believes that he may have bitten off more than he could chew when moving into the same building as Mel – The Valencia.

The ghosts keep interfering with feelings that Mel and Jonathan have for one another. The ghosts are angry and jealous. Will Jonathan be able to steer them where they need to go before irreparable harm and damage is attached to this fledgling romance?

The performance by Vivienne Wyle was good, but many of the female characters sounded similar, in my opinion

I absolutely adore Megan Hart. She knows how to write an erotic scene tastefully. However, I do not like her fantasy books (like this one.) However I know that there is an audience for it and she will do well with them. If you are in need of a sensual fix, this will pass the test. For me, I will not be listening to it again.

Megan, PLEASE write more books similar to STRANGER (my favorite), DIRTY (my favorite), TEMPTED (my favorite), etc. These are books that I have listened to over and over again.

This was a little different and for some reason, I think I have read it before.

I liked the connection the characters had thought I think Johnathan has some residual past stuff he needs to deal with before he goes jumping into a relationship with Melissa.

The ghost thing was kind of different. I like that he helps them even though that was at the expense of himself there for a little while.

The narration was ok, I think if she has put some emotion into her voice it would have made it a lot better.

Reawakened Passions

I read this book as part of a romance challenge. For this books to be so short I felt it had a lot to it. You have the haunted apartments, and the two tenants who live there. It wasn’t an insta love book either. They work to it semi slow and have a few bumps in the road they had to make it through. The ending was very fun to listen to as well.

A Ghostly Love Story

I'm not sure what I think of this story. It seems there are ghosts with unresolved agendas occupying two apartments in this tenement housing. The ghosts are using the occupants to for their own purposes. Jonathan is a psycho-pump, but for some reason he doesn't seem to be able to get the male ghost occupying his apartment to cross over. The story is just plain creepy, taking over the bodies of the occupants for their own story re-enactment. The story may appeal to some, like I said I am conflicted over this story, it surely has me thinking.
