A great small-town romance with heart.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Rebecca Yarros writes amazing, angsty contemporary romance. I love the way she pulls me apart and puts me back together. This firefighter romance with a marriage of convenience really pulled on my heart strings but also made me laugh. Liam was such a cute side character too. I love when authors write cute kids into their books.

This is a great small town romance, with all the emotions. The found-family vibes are strong, and the love between Harper and Knox is strong. I’m intrigued to get into more of this series.

Cute story, the attempts of child voices was horrific but thankfully the story was more about the adults.

The story

I loved the story of this book! Such a cute heartwarming story. Definitely would recommend if you like small town/high school crush romances.

Suspense of two life long lovers finally understanding their love for each other is key to this story.

I was waiting and waiting for the two main characters to finally understand their deep love for each other and both express it openly to each other together. It took them nearly the length of the book but it does happen. Knox finally verbalized this after nearly loosing his relationship. He was told in point blank terms by his friends he needed to do so. They felt he was crazy to not have expressed his love long before. The suspense was nearly unbelievable. The storyline is a good one and the welfare of the children admirable.
