As a member of the Pittsburgh Titans, I’m afforded a certain level of leniency in my behavior. The perks of being a celebrity, I suppose. But a run-in with my “one-night stand turned borderline stalker” has me crossing all sorts of lines with a beautiful but unsuspecting grocery store employee. When I surprise the complete stranger with a giant kiss and quiet plea to help a guy out, she not only plays along but gets my blood racing like I’ve never experienced before. Score one for Rafferty Abrams.

Temperence Martin isn’t just the stunning girl in the international foods aisle. Tempe is also a devoted daughter taking a break from college to help her mother as she heals from a serious accident. That includes making sure her younger brother stays on track with school and keeping everything running at home. To say she’s burning the candle at both ends is an understatement, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t see the spark in her eyes after our spontaneous make out session. That’s exactly what has me coming back for more, even if I use that pesky stalker as my excuse.

As we get to know one another, I realize a fake relationship just isn’t going to work. I want something other than a ruse, something real, and lucky for me, so does Tempe. But when my mistake of a hookup starts telling lies in retaliation for my alleged betrayal, things get messy. For me and for Tempe, who has found herself embroiled in a love triangle that doesn’t even exist. I can only hope Tempe isn’t scared away by the baggage I unintentionally brought to our relationship because the truth is, I saw my happily ever after with her the first time our lips met.

I loved how the story played out and the emotions of the characters were great. The narration was perfect. Can’t wait for the next books in the series.

Rafferty and Tempe

Another fantastic addition to an already amazing series. Rafferty And Tempe are absolutely adorable together. You could feel the deep connection they developed and the love they shared. I loved and adored this charming story.

Raff meets love Temperance while fleeing his stalker

Sweet meet cute. Tempy was deserving and Rafferty was a nice enough guy. Would have liked a little more of Drake and Brianne but other than that this story was fast paced and uncomplicated. In fact given this was a holiday release it would have been nice to have had a scene updating the reader on the lives of some of the earlier characters. Maybe another holiday like Valentine’s Day??

The best friend/ sister set up for the next book appears to not have the usual brother push back so am looking forward to something different. Also we will undoubtedly get more of the bad tempered diva player before his problems are revealed. The narration was ok- not great but not bad either. It was a bit short for a full credit but good as a kindle+ audio whispersync comb or as a sale selection.

Was so excited to see a new book come out in the series. I love that we are getting to know so many of the players. The story line was great and not one that has been over done. Can’t wait for North to come out and then there will be Penn! I really need to know Penn’s story.

Another wonderful Titans book

When Rafferty impulsively kisses Tempe in the store to try to get his one night stand off his back, neither one new what it would lead to. I really like how generous the Titans are with their time and money. They really support each other and Brianne Norcross, the team's owner, supports her players, too. This turns out to be a fake love story to a real one. The narration was very good. I'm looking forward to the next book.
