About this listen

Once the fame of love is lit, it cannot be extinguished.

When Genevieve agrees to deliver a package to Quill Gentry, her reception is a shotgun fired at her. She tries again by sending a note mentioning the sender’s name and is gruffly welcomed.

Quill reluctantly takes the offered package. He notices the beautiful messenger has a limp and he can’t hide his sympathy and softens toward her.

A brief relationship begins with Genevieve which gradually draws him from his shell. He even develops a friendship with the town’s preacher.

When Genevieve leaves town suddenly without saying goodbye, Quill is heartbroken. The preacher sends him a mail-order bride to make up for his loss. The very day the gorgeous Lillian arrives, he gets word from Genevieve about her imminent return and her reason for leaving so quickly. Thus, Quill’s quandary.

A True Love

Listening to the audiobook of Quill’s Quandary was pure pleasure. The narrator was great and had a wonderful storyline. Quill just wanted to live his life in peace. After going to jail, for saving a woman, he’s back home, running his farm. Genevieve is traveling to meet Quill, to deliver a package from her best friend. She was the woman he saved, and wants to thank him. When they meet the first time, shots are fired, but it only makes Genevieve more determined than ever to complete her mission. Well, that mission turns into more. When she leaves town suddenly, Quill doesn’t know why. He thought they had a connection. Well, a series of events happened and just maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel for love.
I was given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

Don't jump to a conclusion

Quillen is set on sending his visitors packing without hearing any explanation. When Genevieve drops Quill's farm by to deliver a message for her friend, Quill runs her off by shooting at her. However they both learn a few things in the days that follow which leads to a special friendship. I think you'll enjoy reading or listening to this book as Quill and Genna learn about forgiveness, acceptance and what it means to follow God's leaning.

Quill & Genevieve!

You never know where life will take you, or where you will find your happiness. Genevieve has been sent on a mission. Take Quill a message and present for her friend. See, Quill had done something so selfless, he deserved some form of recognition. Little did Quill or Genevieve know what would happen next. As Genevieve gets to know Quill, there is some undeniable chemistry. She feels happy in her new town, and their budding friendship is turning romantic. But she is called home when her mother takes ill, and now both are heartbroken. Will she return? When Quill doesn't hear from her, what should he do next? Misunderstandings, separation and the need to move on could be the end, but will it? This is a fun listen, with some fun characters. I love Quill and his immediate reaction to Genevieve. He shows his true colors with his gift to her and it touched my heart. Genevieve is a little naive, but she knows her heart and where it belongs. This is a wonderful story and it made my heart happy.

Jamison Walker brings this gem to life with a fabulous narration. His voice is perfect for this time period and he knows how to voice each character. He brings out all the insecurities, the frustration, and love with his voices and makes the listen easy on the ears. I enjoyed his performance.

Love Heals

Events in Quill's past have left him a recluse who avoids even going into town for supplies. His long time friend, Abe, does all his business in town for him. When a friend asks Genevieve to deliver a package to Quill, she agrees to do it after some persuasion. But Quill sends her away from his place with a shotgun and refuses to see her again. Persistance to see him leads to their journey. It is a sweet, clean romance. No inappropriate language or content. I always enjoy books by Ms. Goss.

The narration was acceptable and did adequately distingish each character.

I received this audiobook from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Cute story

This was a cute, clean western romance with a lot of preaching. I liked the storyline, didn’t mind the preaching so much, but there were some historical inaccuracies and modern words used that got under my skin. The narrator did an okay job, but I couldn’t differentiate between the characters just by listening. He did do a wonderful job with pacing and creating emotion, however.
