Publisher's summary

You will not get very far in life without knowing your life mission. Can yours be stated in a sentence or two? A good way to begin formulating one is with some questions. What is your passion? What have you achieved? What have you done uncommonly well? How are you wired? Where do you belong? What are the "shoulds" that have trailed you during your first half of life? These and other questions like them will direct you toward the self your heart longs for; they will help you discover the task for which you were especially made.

John C. Maxwell, known as America's expert on leadership, speaks in person to hundreds of thousands of people each year. He has communicated his leadership principles to Fortune 500 companies, the United States Military Academy at West Point, and sports organizations such as the NCAA, the NBA, and the NFL. The New York Times best-selling author has written more than 30 books, including Winning with People and Today Matters. Two of his books, Developing the Leader Within You and The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership have each sold more than one million copies.

The True Definition of Leadership

Mr. Maxwell has put together a very powerful tool for anyone interested in cultivating their skills as a leader. Less than 1 hour spent with this speech is invaluable. Leadership is a people skill and at its root it is value based. This speech helps to define the listener as a leader or not.

Good info but short...

This is basically one section a much longer live seminar. The material was solid - Maxwell shares ten questions he asks himself to guide his growth. Questions such as 'am I investing in myself?', 'am I interested in others', etc. These are powerful questions to reflect on, and I will apply them to my life. My only complaint is that it is very short (about 45 mins.)
