very unconventional from other cosmic horror i have read

I loved the build up and character development of magenta, I love her personality and unconditional love for doc... and peanut butter

Not What I Was Looking For

I am sure this is a good book and I am just being picky.

I am not sure why I was expecting more life drama than medical/lab/corporate drama. It's not like the synopsis lead me astray.

I wasn't hooked. I found myself delaying on reading more and the only reason I can think of is because I didn't care more about the characters.

Honestly, if it sounds like a fun book, read it. It is fun. It's just not the fun I was looking for, which isn't fair to the book but it's the honest truth.

Written with great skill

Ultimately, this story wasn't for me. And that's okay.

What it is, is a very tightly written novel with a compelling protagonist. The author does a great job with tension, making you feel worried about what will happen to the protagonist or what the protagonist will do to somebody else, sometimes both at the same time. I was hoping for more of an anti-hero type angle, but that's on me. Hailey Piper does an excellent job of continuously raising the stakes.

A devious dive into a thought most women and men have had. Hailey is brilliant as an author. I enjoyed this work of sharp art.

One of the best narrations on Audible

Jenn Lee takes an already fantastic speculative novel and turns up the volume to full tilt. Even if you’ve read the book in its print form, grab a copy of this in audio: it’s simply terrific.

Beautifully disgusting

Amazing narrative performance, interesting characters and a detailed story. A truly great listen and easy to get sucked into the world with a lasting craving for peanut butter.

Well- written and surprisingly emotive.

I enjoyed this one more than I expected to. The voice acting was good, the characters were fun and the story itself was a delightful surprise.

Great sapphic kaiju romance

A thrilling sapphic Sci fi horror novel that goes beyond it premise into cosmic limitlessness.
The story was excellent and so was the dramatic narration.

Was ok.

The beginning half was great, interesting.. then last two hours it’s lost me. I got bored and was only listening to get through it unfortunately.
