As a personal friend of the "Westons," my respect and admiration for them continues to grow. James has wisdom beyond his years. James helped pioneer a thriving men’s accountability program with high expectations. His extended family and his in-laws have a legacy and heritage of strong families and healthy fathers. We all participated in a Love and Logic parenting class taught by James’ father in law. With our combined six kids, we have spent countless meals together and been a part of their spiritual community. They don’t do Facebook and they are slow to respond to text messages. James lives what he teaches!

This book would be especially good for new dads and those who are insecure or unfamiliar with healthy fathers. In the printed version, the chapter summaries and key concepts/ideas are great for busy dads. As a busy dad myself, having this audio version was a game changer, and I also enjoyed referencing the printed copy too. For the first chapters in the book, I set the player “Speed” on .90x to be able to hear the pauses and shifts from titles and narrative. After you have the book- hunt, stalk, stare, and interview the dads that you admire who are healthy, balanced, and loving. Find dads who model what James teaches.

Wives, Moms, and Grandmas: Please buy a copy for your young dad! Would make an excellent companion-gift for baby showers.

Finally, resist the temptation to skeptically peak at this book to prove how much you already know about fatherhood.
