This is a great book for all dog lovers who have a puppy. Learning how your puppy is thinking will help to manage certain behaviours such as pulling on the lead. This book will take you through various puppy behaviours, teaches you what your puppy is thinking and how to train them to manage these behaviours. Highly recommended

This is a great book on sensible and common sense methods for training your puppy. Getting into the mindset of the dog brings empathy and this is a great approach in this book.

If you are looking to take the guesswork out of raising your fur baby, I would highly recommend listening to this!

Such an awesome book!

Understanding your dogs thinking patterns in imperative to keeping a happy and healthy pup in the house. This book did a fantastic job outlining the essentials and gives some really awesome tips and tricks that stay with you and sets the stage for a successful puppy home. There's also some great fundamentals of basic tricks and training which I found interesting and valuable.

I loved this one and feel everyone who has a dog or is considering getting a dog for a pet listen through - you won't regret it!

Excellent advice

Everyone getting a puppy is so excited beforehand - within a few weeks of collecting them, you are on Facebook seeking answers for why your bundle of fun is just so much hard work! The first year is the hardest, for sure, and I thoroughly recommend listening to this book both in anticipation of getting your pup OR if you are already an owner and finding it overwhelming. Even for seasoned owners, it is easy to forget how much consistency and patience are required, plus every pup is different. This book gives clear, actionable strategies for before and during those first few months (which can be overwhelming). Happy and trained puppy = happy you; Syd knows what he is talking about! Great book.

This book is amazing!

This book will give you a deeper understanding of your puppy's thinking. It will not only help you successfully teach them, but you will also discover how to do so. The author offers a wealth of useful advice on how to avoid typical puppy behavioral issues. I thought this was a really interesting and helpful book, and I would highly suggest it to anybody who is considering having a puppy.

Very Interesting and Helpful

This book was very educational. Although I have had animals in the past, I have always felt that I didn't understand how to care for them and failed every time I tried to have a "house" animal. This book provided the reasoning behind several of my failed attempts and how to truly understand the animal and its needs. Very valuable resource!

Perfect Book For My New Pet Endeavors!!!

We have recently moved into our home and will be surprising my kids with a puppy at Christmas!! I am so very glad I found this book to help prepare me and my family for the right kind of puppy parenting. I have had pets before, only as a child, and I do need a refresher as an adult as to how to understand the way the new puppy will be thinking. I may even go so far as to say, even my older puppy rearing styles are completely out of date and no longer useful or acceptable, and as a result, could use some new learning all together. I appreciate the way this book places me in the mindset of the puppy, and teaches from that perspective. I think its a healthier way to approach parenting a pet, as they need more than just training to be their best selves in a family. They need love too, form their outlook more so than ours as humans. Shout out to the author for such a wonderful book

Great resources!

I used to have dogs in a different country and at times I didn't understand their language so, of course, there is not much training the way you like. Now, everything is different when I moved to the U.S. Having a puppy is like having a child. It is a lot of responsibilities to have. You treat them and train them like a child of our own. Now my daughter wants to have a puppy, I really want to make sure this time is different. I want to make sure I understand their language and train them well. This book gives me a different perspective and a lot of tips on how to understand their mindset better. I feel more prepared now.

As a dog lover, it is good to understand how dogs think! This audiobook is a great and helpful book, and I would highly suggest it to anybody considering having a puppy. You will learn to go for walks without the leash, prevent or stop barkings, and so many other tips! :)
