Love the story but NOT the narrator.

The story kept me on edge of my seat but it was really hard listening to the narrator. She’s terrible!!

Awesome read. Love the evolution of characters. Each book in the series builds and yet stands alone. Awesome Audible narration as well.

Worth the read!!!

Unlike earlier books in the series that portrays Sheriff Jenna Alton as a bit of a wimp, this one actually shows Jenna being more forceful. A bomber who is out for revenge has the bodies piling up. The bomb signature is the same as the bomber who killed Kane’s wife and left him for dead...suddenly it appears Kane was not the intended target of that attack...and this case has become very personal. This book is certainly action packed and keeps the adrenaline flowing. I’m looking forward to the next book to see if the chemistry between Jenna and Dave heats up.

Exceptional Growth in Story and Authorial Ability

I started out mildy enjoying the Kane and Alton series, but as I continued reading the series, my enjoyment of the stories grew as well as my affection for the characters.

This could be an excellent stand-alone story, but if you are considering it, why not start at the beginning? It will be worth it.

Loved it. I love this from beginning to end. Great story that kept me listening for hours. I am going to start the next one right now. Totally worth a credit.

Non Stop Thrill Ride

Absolutely amazing. I've never had my jaw drop so many times while reading!! This is a non stop thrill ride. Very hard to put down!! Seriously the best in the series!!

A great listen

This was my favorite book by DK Hood yet! It was gripping and left you wanting more each time you had to put it down. This entire series is a wonderful listen. You actually forget it’s fiction and want to fly up to Jenna’s town and her her with her cases. A great read!
