Publisher's summary
Enter a realm where the boundaries between science and the supernatural blur, where the audacious theories of visionary minds like Nikola Tesla are not dismissed as mere fantasies but as gateways to unveiling the profoundest mysteries of existence itself. This is the dimension where our epic odyssey unfolds, chronicling the extraordinary voyage of an unlikely duo - Carl Halliburton, a relentless and daring journalist ever in pursuit of the next earth-shattering exposé, and his rebellious sister Shama, a virtuoso hacker who maneuvers the shadowy labyrinths of cyberspace with unrivaled prowess.
Their fates converge when they cross paths with a haggard, disgraced former government scientist spinning a tale of a covert endeavor dubbed "Looking Glass" - an enterprise so daring, so cosmic in scope, that it has rent the very fabric of reality asunder. As the siblings find themselves inexorably drawn into this metaphysical vortex, an adventure beyond their wildest imaginings awaits, testing the limits of their fortitude and shattering the foundations of their understanding.
Their extraordinary journey will whisk them from stark, subterranean laboratories where deceptive sterility belies phenomenal forces at work, to alien landscapes that defy coherent human perception. They'll encounter primordial powers and entities veiled since the dawn of creation, each possessing a fragment of a grand, orchestrated cosmic design.
Guided by enigmatic sages, Carl and Shama must transcend terrestrial consciousness to embrace a higher plane of awareness. Prepare to shed the shackles of perceived reality, for this voyage will hurl you into the untamed heart of the great unknown. The cosmic veil parts in a world mirroring our own, where two intrepid explorers stand at the precipice of an odyssey destined to blast it asunder, ready or not. A lone signpost marks the path ahead - your next stop, the enigmatic and transformative realm beyond the Looking Glass!

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

Story
In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

Story
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

Pleasantly surprised
It was SciFi that took a turn that pleasantly surprised me by the ending. It was a bit metaphysical and spiritual in a new age kind of way. The prose was engaging and void of swear words. It's worth a listen.
