Couldn’t put it down

There were some parts that as a mother were hard to listen to but it didn’t get to graphic. Only wished something more than prison would have happened to him in the end. If it was my child I don’t think he would be lucky enough to make it to see the inside of cell. That said it is very emotional yet thrilling page turner. I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for this genre so to speak. And will be checking into more stories from the author. I was given this audio in exchange for honest review. Hope you enjoy tho you might not be able to sleep well till you’ve heard through to it’s conclusion.

Pretty Babies

This story sucked me right in!Dany is a foster child who tells tales,so no one believes her when she tells the truth.More on what happened to Bonner at the end would have been nice. That wrapped up too quickly. While Meg Price was a very good narrator, she had quite a few false starts and repeated lines. The fuzz in the beginning of some chapters was distracting. Production is sloppy and unprofessional

This is a good story, but the production is very sloppy and unprofessional. There are several quite obvious and distracting production errors present. For example, about 2 hours in, another at about 6:18 and a third just before Chapter 14. I also suspect some missing or cut off words, but I can't be sure of this. Meg Price's performance is adequate, but I've heard more appropriate voices for a story like this.

The plot is good as far as it goes, but it could have been more fully developed. The characters are flat and overly stereotypical. I'm disappointed that this audiobook did not reach its potential.

Pretty Babies

What do you do when you are a foster child known for lying and embellishing and your new foster father has a secret, not just any secret at that one that could get you killed? Dani knew her knew family was to good to be true and when her fears come to light there is no one she can trust or look to for help. When Dani takes matters into her own hands chaos erupts. Will Dani find a safe haven or will evil find her first?

This is an interesting story-line, but I did not fall in love with the characters or their world. The characters lacked some depth for me. For all the buildup the ending fell flat for me. I wondered about some of the characters at the end of the book and even one of the main characters as we are not told what happens to him. You can guess as we see all that happens in the end, but it feels like it is missing important information on key players in this story’s ending. There was also a few production errors throughout the book that takes the listener out of the story.
