About this listen

I'm a 22-year-old virgin. Tonight, that changes.

I thought my first time had to be magical. The perfect date. The perfect place. The perfect guy. I thought I wanted to be in love. But now, I'm desperate. I'll take any guy as long as he's decent looking and treats me well, at least for the night.

Turns out Mr. Perfect isn't so hard to find. He's hot, dreamy, and filthy rich. And he wants me. Sex with him is going to be better than I ever imagined. He's going to ruin me for all other guys. I know that it is just for one night, but it doesn't matter. I'm happy to get my perfect night.

One night isn't enough, for either of us. Because Mr. Perfect just fake proposed to me. And he wants this proposal to last a lot longer than one night.

Will you pretend to be my wife?

GREAT NARRATION.. BUT SORRY, I JUST DID’NT LOVE IT

I love a good ‘fake’ marriage romance.. yes they’re predictable, but I like the rollercoaster journey the couple inevitably has to take. I love the emotional tugs and build-up of tension, if I’m lucky there’s sassy quick-witted banter, simmers and chemistry overload and I wait in gleeful anticipation for the lightbulb click realization that hearts have finally joined the party. This is my first book by Ella Miles and I liked the book blurb so took a chance.. but slowly the story and romance turned into a two star “meh it’s ok” lukewarm listen. Who knows why a book glows to one person yet dims to another.. but for me, things just somehow didn’t quite mesh, the story lacked depth and detail, the characters conversations were a bit stilted and the whole “you must treat me bad so I don’t fall in love with you” was stupid. Also, the abrupt ending, where everything was ‘fixed’ in a paragraph or two, felt rushed.. and the Epilogue could’ve been expanded with more details. There was sex, a little drama and the dual POV narration by the talented Jason Clarke was perfect of course (.. love you Jason) and Addison Barnes was ok. WORTH A CREDIT? For me, sadly, it’s a no.. but please, this is just my own personal opinion and you may love it.
