About this listen

Dr. Alexa Zorn is a museum artifact researcher that finds what appears to be a sci-fi movie prop hidden in an old storage area. With her team of specialists, she starts to unravel the alien device's secrets, leading her to a one-day time machine buried in Death Valley. Soon after, a billionaire collector tries to steal the artifact to add to his collection. Alexa and her team race through time, keeping one step ahead of the billionaire, her X-husband, the government, and all the disasters that want to end all life on Earth. If you mix Lora Croft and Indiana Jones into one person, Polaris would be the result.
The Time & Space Series is a collection of Sci-fi novels that focus on stories about time travel, space flight, or both. Each novel is a stand-alone book with a new story, plot, and characters.

Terrible, awful, really bad wrting. Good story.

The virtual voice is, a typical computer narration. The stroy has great potential. The story idea is the only reason I listened to the whole thing. The writing is truly awful. I felt like I was listening to a computer reading a middle schooler's short story. None of the characters are flushed out. In one part the daughter was simultaneously old enogh to have received the birds and bees speech twice but too young to have a frank conversation about learning her father had cheated? There's just either no character development or extremely inconsistent characters. Just so frustrating. I hope a better writer is tasked with the rewriti g of this story. It's a great sci-fi story idea.
