About this listen

In this audiobook on philosophers, several fascinating thinkers will be covered. Their inspiring and debatable thoughts will give you new insights in life and death and in ethics and morals.

First, the political philosophers John Locke will be explored. Mr. Locke was the libertarian who said something when things appeared to go in the wrong direction. Some considered him to be an idealist, but his assessments of the government, the concept of property, and that of human rights have been the proponents of liberty and have inspired many to take action.

After this critical thinker, we will focus on Immanuel Kant, one of the most famous philosophers from Germany. Originally from Prussia, Kant explains to us why human reasoning on metaphysics, ethics, and intelligence is superior, and how his method called “criticism” has revolutionized the way people look at philosophy.

Next in line is Plato, Aristotle’s student from ancient Greece. Being one of the founders of classical philosophy, he discusses about epistemology, education, democracy, and metaphysics.

In the last part of the book, we take a look at Jean-Paul Sartre, a well-known philosopher from the 20th century, who is seen as the embodiment of existentialism. After the Second World War, his intellectual knowledge set the tone for the irony and atmosphere of the culture.

When you study these men’s ideas and thoughts, you will get a sense of the logical and intuitive possibilities of the human brain, and its capacity to rationalize concepts and analyze life.

Nice

I enjoyed this. Nice book. Ric Chetter is a good narrator, easy to listen to. Skip the stupid philosophy class in college and get some of these audio books.

Perfect

Some of the very best secrets about this particular theme are candidly being shown by the author. That's the reason why I like it. In my eyes, it was just one of those books you can not skip. You can not overlook it, since it is one of the best on the market. I might become repetitious here, but that's just how I think about it.
