About this listen

In this feel-good follow-up to the novel and Netflix film Good Sam, intrepid reporter Kate Bradley is back in a story that BuzzFeed calls “mysterious, fascinating, and inspiring.”

When burglars target the palatial estates of American billionaires in a series of high-tech heists, Kate must venture inside the world of the superrich to investigate the biggest story of the year.

But the answers don’t come easy. The Los Angeles police detective who’s helping Kate with the case has mysteriously disappeared, Kate’s senator father demands she stop investigating, and the billionaire victims refuse to talk to the media. Still, Kate uncovers clues that prove the crimes are anything but ordinary: those behind the robberies have shocking - but uplifting - motives that just may bring about powerful change.

As the heists escalate, Kate faces a momentous decision that could jeopardize her deepening relationship with fire captain Eric Hayes. Saddled with obligations to the public, her career, and her own heart, Kate must trust her instincts in a high-stakes search that will test everything she believes and force her to decide where she belongs.

A Perfectly Good Sequel

The second book in the Kate Bradley mystery series delivers! It’s got an interesting mystery that isn’t your typical violent crime, but rather a Robin Hood mystery. It’s got romance. It’s got a great engaging but human main character. It delivers on all fronts.

Heartwarming!

What a nice feel-good story... all is not what it seems in spite of the obvious.

A news reporter who always finds the best stories

This book continues from the Good Sam by Dete Meserve, but also can be read as a stand alone. A reporter who is always doing breaking news stories get a lead on millionaires being robbed, but there is no sign of forced entry and a job well done by the robbers. As the story unfolds so does some new things in the reporters like! Does she continue with the current line of work, or does she follow her career dream and her love life?

How does she solve my mystery of the robberies and who is helping the poor?

Loved the story! Cant wait to hear more of this series!

I wish Audible allowed for a 10-star rating scale!

This would be a 9
PRO: I absolutely loved the creativity of the story line.
CON: Since written in first person, it made the protagonist sound a bit full of herself which became annoying.
The narrator, while not bad, had a flat tone to her voice

Ok story

Story was good but dragged quite a bit. No chemistry between the h and her love interest, just distracted from the story.

ANOTHER WINNER IN THE KATE BRADLEY SERIES

AS MUCH AS I ENJOYED BOOK 1 IN THIS SERIES, I THINK BOOK 2 MAY HAVE SURPASSED IT. KATE'S CHARACTER AND CAREER ARE GROWING, EVEN WHILE BOTH HER PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL LIVES HIT SOME SNAGS. YET ANOTHER ENTERTAINING MYSTERY WITHOUT A DEAD BODY, BUT I DIDN'T MISS ONE, IN THE LEAST.

senator's daughter brat reporter

How can anyone trust a reporter, especially a US senators daughter? This is a delusional fantasy. The perfectly good crime is the number of people who believe the news is true and not a propaganda machine. This author wants us to believe that wealthy criminals act in our best interests. A fine story for the sheeple, not for me.
